This is just entertaining, especially if you’ve ever had the chance to hear American Atheists’ Dave Silverman on TV or in person
The man knows how to stay on message.
Hemant Mehta is the chair of Foundation Beyond Belief and a high school math teacher in the suburbs of Chicago. He began writing the Friendly Atheist blog in 2006. His latest book is called The Young Atheist's Survival Guide.
I have to be honest. That was pretty damn lame.
To be honest, I don’t like him as a spokesperson for our movement.
I’d like to hear specifically what is so bad about him, from the previous two commenters.
I love David Silverman and his passion.
I don’t care what others think. Dave Silverman is a welcomed and needed voice.
I am a fan of David Silverman.
I think that he usually does an AWESOME job of getting atheist viewpoints onto mainstream media, and doing so in a way that comes across as direct, clear, articulate, etc.
I feel like he has some shortcomings, charismatically speaking. It doesn’t bode well that I agree with what someone is saying, yet find myself wishing someone else was saying it more eloquently.
Still, better him than nobody.
Can’t say that I have ever been that enthusiastic about AA, but I do think they are improving. Still have a ways to go.
