An Update on the Young Atheists Book

A draft of the book is complete! (With a week before school starts, too. Woo!)

Now, the plan is to read through everything 3209423 times over the next several days, clean up the material and make sure the continuity is there (especially since the chapters were written out of order), double check the citations, get some people to look it over to see if they spot any glaring mistakes, format it as nicely as I can… and then hand it over to Patheos Press to do the “official” editing.

There’s also the fun part of seeing if I can get awesome people to write the foreword and/or blurb the book… that’ll come later.

But the hard part is over. I can’t wait to share this with you… probably in another couple of months.

Can’t wait to read it! It’s an important topic, and I’m interested to see what you do with it.

Are we allowed to volunteer to beta read? Because I am an English major with no job and I am getting restless with nothing to do.

I’m just putting it out there, you know. Do with it as you will….

Hehe — That’s not a bad idea. Let me think about it and I’ll post something if I need readers!

I have a bachelor’s degree in English and I work as the newsroom proofreader for the local paper so I read every single article looking for errors so if you would like a volunteer, count me in since I would be doing the same sort of thing at my job anyways.

Great idea… I’m a medical transcriptionist so I proof read things for a living… I’d be happy to help out as well!

Wow, congrats!  I’m looking forward to reading it!
