Sarah Silverman on the Importance of Church-State Separation

It seems to me the people who disregard the separation of church and state are the sticklers that are always pointing to the Constitution (and the Bible for that matter) when and where it serves them. I want America back — the brave, progressive young country, unafraid of the unknown. Motivated by what is right and not reactionary and fear-based.

– Actress/comedienne Sarah Silverman, speaking to Church & State about her upcoming performance for Voices United.

“Unafraid of the unknown” – I love that.

    • The Man Beast

It’s not the only thing you love. Spoiler Alert: the other thing is being terrible.

      • RobMcCune

        It’s certainly better than trolling.

  • Revyloution

Ok,  is Sarah Silverman related to David Silverman?  They kinda look alike.

    • The Man Beast

David Silverman is a fucking toilet.

      • Tgavazzi1

You need to take the word “Man” out of your internet handle.

        • Rich Wilson

He needs to cut back on the ‘roids.

      • Kari Lynn

Who would have a toilet just for fucking?

        (See? I can troll too!)

I know what you are, but  what am I ?

  • The Disco Spider

The only thing that you are skeptical about is facts, you fat piece of shit

    • Kernil

      So brave….

    • Glasofruix

Please show us those facts you are speaking of, you overweight portion of human manure.

I’m sorry, you’re trying to accomplish what with your post?

  • Larry Meredith

Every once in a while she says things like this that make me want to like her. Then I see her comedy and it’s so incredibly lame…

    • Rob U

While I would agree with you I do think she has her moments.  That song she did with Matt Damon, and the follow up with Ben Affleck and Jimmy Kimmell, were incredibly funny.

In fact, I’m going to Youtube them again right now.  :-)

  • northierthanthou

    Always did like her.

  • Mr Herriman

Comedienne? Please retire this word. Ugh.

To paraphrase the old statistician, I believe in Separation of Church and State, I just don’t believe in “Separation of Church and State.”

  • Hooie

great sentiment from a very talentless woman.

    • Pascale Laviolette

Regardless of whether YOU find her funny, she has enough talent to be a successful comedian — and that says A LOT!  Also, she’s atheist, so she got at least one thing right.

Anyone who thinks Sarah Silverman is terrible should be strapped to a chair with their eyes taped open and forced to watch endless Dane Cook specials.
