A Promotional Video for American Atheists’ 2013 Conference

American Atheists just released this video to promote their 2013 Conference — a celebration of their 50th anniversary:

I’m not sure who made the video, but AA might want to use that person to design their future billboards, too.

More information about the conference can be found here.

Is this the vid/clip that Matt showed on last Sunday’s ep of ‘The Atheist Experience’?

Something that bugs me: ‘secular men and women’

Well, I’m not really a man or a woman, since being a woman requires an amount of identity going into it.

I understand that they made it that way because of all the sexism against women and females that’s recently been coming to light, but I’d still like to see gender-inclusive terminology being used. I KNOW I’m not being left out, but it’s still a stick in my craw as a genderqueer person because I’m LITERALLY NOT A WOMAN.

That’s got Seth Andrews (The Thinking Atheist) all over it, especially the expanding kerning on the text. I vote Seth made it, if we were voting.

Hi, Elli. Thanks for sharing your concerns. Secular folks of all variations will be welcome. I hope you can make it and that you have a terrific conference.
