Peter Boghossian, a philosophy professor at Portland State University, recently invited Steve Goldman (also a philosophy professor) to give a lecture on the History of Atheism. That lecture was recorded and begins at the 8:00 mark in the video below:

    the Kurgans had nothing to do with the Sumerians. i’ve no idea why he’s trying to connect them, but it’s clear he knows nothing about ancient Sumer. which esp in the early periods, was anything but a “sky culture patriarchy.”

    It was a wave of Kurgan expansion that was responsible for the conquering of the Sumerians.  Do a basic google search for Kurgan and Sumeria and you’ll get a dozen hits.
