    That’s a very inconspicuous bush.

God is a peeping Tom pervert!

  • MegaZeusThor

If God were real, just imagine all the sick crap he’d end up “watching”. Omniscience would have its downsides.

LMAO!! I didn’t see that ending coming.

I always pictured God with rectangular eyes.

i read a lot of fiction and one of the things that always stands out to me is the way in which in well-written fictional worlds with god(s), those divinities are actually just, interested in the people who are hurting/helping others the most, etc. in other words, the way any intelligent and compassionate person would want from a/some god(s).

where the monotheisms in particular fail, it’s because in the end, their god(s) come across as so petty and juvvie. i mean really, a peeping tom god who cares if susie gave biff head last week, or if bob and steve kissed behind the school? even the breaking of marital vows, as “holy” as they are supposed to be, seems like a minor infraction for a god to care about, more than say, genocide, or rank hypocrisy in the powerful, or the suffering of millions of innocent children… sure, “god can be at all places at once” or whatever, but his representatives keep telling me it’s much, much more important that i understand His Wrath over the idea that two gay men may marry, than the fact that literally thousands of people trying to get married in the middle east, straight couples even, have been bombed by invading drone and shot up by mercenaries running trafficking organizations for profit. i’m not really motivated to worship such a being, frankly.

Hi Baby! Are you sure you don’t have any disease that can passed on? Can you take care of the baby if one comes along or do we have to use other people’s money for an abortion and the disease you are passing on? Am I your one night stand or summer playground and you will leave when someone more fancy catches your eye? There may be no old man in the sky but you can be sure that mama and papa know from mistakes made from the years gone by.

There are such things as safe sex practices. Maybe you should go learn about them: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/health-topics/stds-hiv-safer-sex/safer-sex-4263.htm

  • Guest

How safe can safe be really? If people are so clear- headed in moments of passion, there would not be so many unwanted pregnancies and cases of venereal diseases. Actually, I don’t really care what happen to those indulging in such action as long as they pay for their medical expenses themselves. Plan parenthood is not for me. My plans have already worked out pretty well.

  • EivindKjorstad

Life is dangerous, you can die from it. That’s no excuse for locking yourself in  padded room. We routinely do tons of things which are much more dangerous than safe sex.

Do you also insist that everyone who’s obese, everyone who smokes, everyone who doesn’t get enough physical exersize and everyone who eats insufficient amounts of marine oils should pay for their own healthcare ?

  • jose

     Socialists gonna getcha.

  • Guest

Live dangerously if you like but pay for it yourself. You are entitled to jump off an aircraft without a parachute or hike in Kenya if you like but I am sure you finance your own way. Similarly, if you like sowing wild oats or having orgies, who cares as long as you do not pass whatever bill incurred to the other taxpayers or indoctrinate other people’s children to your way of thinking. Maybe, if you already have children or planning to have a future with children, you can let them have laybys any time you like. Just don’t assume that others want it that way.

  • EivindKjorstad

You failed to answer the question: Does this insistence on paying for your own healthcare if you’ve done anything “dangerous” extend to being obese, to being sedentary, to smoking or to low-omega-3 diets ?

If not, why not ? Being obese is a LOT more costly on the average than having a ordinary amount of safe sex is.

Of course those who are sick from their own lifestyle should pay for themselves. They should buy their own insurance. If they can’t get an insurance company willing to cover them, then they should use their own savings for their medical bills. If they don’t have money then they have to find some charitable organisation to help them. If taking Omega3 is a criteria, then how about multi-vitamin, anti-oxidants, calcium, or whatever other supplements there may be? That is absurd.

  • EivindKjorstad

I totally agree that it’s absurd. That’s why I’m suggesting we should have universal healthcare for everyone, including those with a few pounds too much, those who seldom do sports and those who’s had 3 different sexual partners in the last year.

  • Guest

Maybe. Watch RT and see how loud the Russians are laughing.

  • Guest

You must have great faith in human nature to expect that people will declare the number of sexual partners they have had. And I suppose you think they should be covered for existing ailments like aids and veneral diseases.

  • Blacksheep

If someone is extremely obese, and it’s not due to a medical condition, or if they smoke or drink excessively, it’s only fair that they pay more for health care. Not at all to penalize, simply to be fair.

  • Pascale Laviolette

Getting into a car is thousands of times more dangerous than having sex using a condom.

  • Guest

Let your sons and daughters know that , if and when you have them, now or in the future. Maybe incest is least dangerous. Maybe you have nieces and nephews you can propagate your thinking to but I sure hope you are not my neighbor.

  • amycas

Yes they should. People should not be dying from easily treatable diseases. Why couldn’t we all just pay into the system with a tax? Then nobody would go bankrupt from healthcare costs, and nobody would get it for “free” because everybody pays into it. That’s like getting mad at poor people for using the roads or sidewalks.
