Michael Shermer Answers Questions for a Philosophy Class

Peter Boghossian, a philosophy professor at Portland State University, recently invited Michael Shermer to do a A & A session for students. That lecture was recorded and begins at the 4:30 mark in the video below:

Previously, Professor Steve Goldman lectured to the same class about the history of atheism.

As always, if any portions stand out to you, please leave the timestamp and summary in the comments!

Michael Shermer  is pretty damn awesome.
This is a great video…. the tone is casual, like I’ve got him chatting right here in my living room.

A technical note for whoever, especially amateurs, plans to record an event is that sound is as important as image.  There should almost always be exterior microphones near the speakers for clearer sound. If you are serious, you must invest in good sound equipment as well as good camera equipment. Don’t rely on the camera mike except as a last resort. I am speaking as someone who has recorded numerous events and made documentaries and fiction.
