Peter Boghossian, a philosophy professor at Portland State University, recently invited Michael Shermer to do a A & A session for students. That lecture was recorded and begins at the 4:30 mark in the video below:

    This is a great video…. the tone is casual, like I’ve got him chatting right here in my living room.

    A technical note for whoever, especially amateurs, plans to record an event is that sound is as important as image.  There should almost always be exterior microphones near the speakers for clearer sound. If you are serious, you must invest in good sound equipment as well as good camera equipment. Don’t rely on the camera mike except as a last resort. I am speaking as someone who has recorded numerous events and made documentaries and fiction.
