The Secular Student Alliance Will Host Two Conferences Next Summer

The Secular Student Alliance national conference is a must-attend event for me each year and I’m thrilled to see they’ll be running two separate events this summer: One in Las Vegas (for those in the West) and their regular one in Columbus, Ohio (for those in the Midwest/East).

The attendance keeps growing and spreading the wealth will mean even more students get a chance to experience the awesomeness:

The SSA is currently taking applications from students who would like to speak at either event — a wonderful way to get your message heard in front of an influential group of students.

There’s also plenty of funding available if you and your group need travel grants to attend. But act on that now.

I’m not sure if I can work my way to Vegas yet, but I’ll definitely be in Columbus. I’m already excited about it.

This makes me happy and sad.  It is awesome that it will give more people the opportunity to go, but at the same time, this means it is no longer a national convention, just a regional one.

Both meetings will probably be smaller too.  Less big name speakers at both as well.

We’ll see how it goes, I guess.
