Volunteer With Secular Events in Chicago!

Are you looking for a way to help your fellow humans?

Are in the Chicagoland area?

Would you like to spend a few hours volunteering with a few other secular Chicagoans?

Are you free on December 26th?

If so, I have just the opportunity for you!

Secular Events in Chicago is organizing volunteers to meet at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Wednesday the 26th from 1:00-4:00p and help out as needed! (Hemant adds: I’ll be there!)

For more information, check out the event page and RSVP if you are able to attend!

    Nice. That’s some good work.

Is anyone driving in from either the western suburbs or from north of the green line (Lake Street L) who could reasonably give me a lift? (The alternative is public transportation, which isn’t impossible, but it takes 70 to 90 minutes and involves several connections, whereas in moderate traffic it’s 30 minutes from my house to the GCFD, and less still from the various spots along the green line I could easily arrange to meet someone…)

I’ll bring homemade chocolate chip cookies, if that’s any incentive. :)
