Also, if your “church” has 15 people, don’t call yourself a “pastor”.

  • Bobd

And if that doesn’t stop you from calling yourself a “pastor,” remember it only makes it easier for other people to identify you.

“Go forth and give 10% to an imaginary friend who does nothing for you…. while you stiff a hardworking human 18% after they provide you with food and drink.

And The Lord sayeth, this is good.”

The “worthless shit stain” of a waitress deserved to be fired. She got a 15% cash tip and he was only objecting to an automatic 18% tip being added to the check. She has no business sharing private information on the Internet like she did.

She wasn’t stiffed. He gave 15% tip, and was only objecting to and automatic 18% tip being added to the bill. That is a complaint against management policy. Apparently management policy is also for waitresses not to share receipts on line, so it also got her fired.

The automatic tip didn’t have anything to do with the waitress, so why give her shit about it? She should have complained to the management. The pastor is just another arrogant, self righteous Christian, who got caught. And there is no evidence that she was given a cash tip.

No, she clearly wrote a big fat ZERO as the tip, not 15%.

NOWHERE does the pastor say 15% would be OK (in fact it would make no sense since it would still be 50% more than the rate that she tithes to her mythical god).

I always write in $0 when I give a cash tip. That way they don’t ring themselves up an additional tip. She already explained why. She had given a cash tip of $6 (actually 17%) she thought appropriate and then noticed the automatic 18% and didn’t like the idea of that, and wrote her comment. Perfectly believable. First time I saw them adding automatic tips it pissed me off too. She probably though since she was just paying for herself she could avoid this nonsense. It’s not a tip if they add it automatically. They are in fact raising prices on large parties. It is not a “gratuity”, so that is a fraud. The printed receipt called it a “Tip” which is a lie. It is a price increase.

She is a representative of the business. There is never evidence for cash tips. Duh.

Also the waitress who got fired wasn’t even her server, and posted the receipt with her name on it on the Internet. So why was she, who had nothing to do with it either, butting in? Waitresses are the face of the restaurant and they should expect to get complaints about all sorts of things they don’t decide, like room temperature, how the food is cooked, the size of a glass of OJ, etc. The recipient of a mandatory tip has everything to do with her even if it is a decision of management to do it. It is labeled “tip”, not party size tax, and it goes to her. Just like we have a right to get angry with lazy people on the dole even though they don’t set tax policy. You don’t think this policy wasn’t motivated by complaints by waitresses? You don’t think she benefits from the 18%? If she feels she isn’t responsible, or doesn’t support the policy she can pass it on to management. I’ve been in parties where an 18% tip was not deserved, and it was not the managements fault.

You obviously don’t know shit about being a server. But I can imagine the kind of prick customer you are.

I worked for tips for over two years and I tip well. I get takeout at a local Chinese restaurant every week and give a 25% tip every time, and don’t even sit down to get served. They fucking love me. I can afford it.

The worst tippers were some old people, blacks, school teachers, and religious groups. No money is why. Suck it up and make it back on firerfighters and policemen.

I believe the Pastor and not the waitress because on Reddit she lied about serving the lady. It came out she was not the actual waitress when she got fired. She deserved no tip because she wasn’t the server. The fired waitress also lied about the Pastor not tipping. I just looked at the receipt carefully and it is still in the total. The pastor paid the 18% included gratuity. The tip line where she put $0 is for an “Adtl Tip” above the 18%.

This parallels that other asshole waiter who posted a receipt online and altered it to make the tip look smaller than it really was. Lucky that patron had his copy and was able to prove his case, but not before being vilified, harrassed, etc. by the lynch mob that includes people like you.

I also witnessed servers spitting in food, and the kitchen staff frying flies on the grill. Yes, and I ratted the fuckers out. Just because someone doesn’t make much money doesn’t mean they aren’t jerks themselves.

The 18% was included in the bill so we know she paid a minimum of that much. She wrote 0% on the additional tip line.

You’re kinda all over with this passage. I don’t know how to reply or where to begin.
