About Terry Firma

Terry Firma, though born and Journalism-school-educated in Europe, has lived in the U.S. for the past 20-odd years. Stateside, his feature articles have been published in the New York Times, Reason, Rolling Stone, Playboy, and Wired. Terry is the founder of Moral Compass, a now dormant site that poked fun at the delusional claim by people of faith that a belief in God equips them with superior moral standards. He joined Friendly Atheist in 2013.

    Ok. Now you’re fucked.

  • Andrew Hackman

  • Dean Hiler

It’s because you both have blogs on Patheos.

  • Carly Sturgeon

  • skinnercitycyclist

Never saw her blog before, never will again. It is about what you would expect, only more so: glurgy right-wing politics

  • Joe_JP

    Carbon based life form?

  • Lijdare

Maybe she’s friendly if you really get to know her?

  • islandbrewer

    “How is babby formed?”

  • allein

Heh, I’ve noticed some interesting ones but this is my favorite :)

  • Gustav Christiansen

    Not sure but… Antimatter carbon?

  • Gustav Christiansen

If your neither asian, gay, tolerant, black, having other religions, hispanic or smart, then maybe… Didn’t see much in there, but i assume she’s a mini-me version of Sarah Palin from what i saw

  • Greg G.

Was that before or after he got married?

  • Holytape

Similar, you know, like how night is similar to day, and how wet is similar to dry.

  • Ton_Chrysoprase

Was that intentional? Either way loads if abstinence-only hilarity in this comment.

  • Scott

I guess you talk about “religion” and “politics”, and so does she, and the computers can’t tell the difference. I suppose it’s the same kind of algorithm that showed me Tea Party Patriots ads at three different lefty sites today, or “build your ministry with these Bible translations” CDs at FTB.

  • Clint Box

    Because you’re a sick duck and she ….. …..

  • C Peterson

Well, it’s little bit true. Except for the friendly bit, you know. And the atheist bit. But otherwise…

  • Glasofruix

Funny, because she’s like 3 times larger than her mother :p

That takes icky to 11. Seriously, I know there must be a rational explanation, and maybe Dean Hiler is right about it, but still even knowing there is a perfectly innocent reason for this, there cannot possibly be any way to make peace with this event. I fear it may be a wound you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
I would pray for you, but, well…
