A Rap Song About God from an Atheist Perspective

Here’s an incredible new hip-hop song about God by Gary Gibson, Jr. (with producer Jay Bee). The rhymes just made me smile on this one:

Check out some of the lines describing God:

At a minimum, a toddler with too many powers/
A Pierson’s Puppeteer hiding in the sky, Coward/
A master con artist who never loses and [is] still sour

And then there’s this section:

Bent you must be/
To drown the world unjustly/
For not making it right when you supposed to be perfect/
God is capo of derp set/
A universe made for us and most of it is death threats/
He sends constantly if we don’t play with Jesus/
What did we do deserve this and it seems he’ll never ease up

“Capo of derp set” is my new favorite insult.

Seriously, listen to the song and read the lyrics.

Did that guy just call God a douchebag?

    Wicked.

Love his rap, but that background beat is super distracting and too loud.
