Foundation Beyond Belief Members Raised $65,470 for Charity Over the Past Three Months

Foundation Beyond Belief just released the results from the Third Quarter of 2013. Check out the donations — $65,470 in total given by atheists — to the following organizations:

This marks the first time we’ve ever given more than $10,000 to three organizations in one quarter. We also raised $9,300 to help Syrian refugees.

It’s absolutely incredible how much good this organization is doing.

If you’d like to see these numbers go up even higher, please join us! You can see a list of our current charities here and a video explaining them in more depth is below:

I live in a very Christian, wealthy town. We have no food banks, but we do have starving senior citizens. I know because I work for a nonprofit that supplies Meals on Wheels, Door to Door Rides, Friendly Visitors and I & A to our seniors. We will most likely be closing before the end of the month due to the economy, the sequester and now the closing of the government. Cutting food stamps isn’t helping either. Most seniors live on just Social Security and that barely pays rent. Even by letting the local media know of our dire situation, not much is being done. Now I know that this same scenario is happening all over the country. If we atheists really want to help Americans, we can start by opening and maintaining more food banks. Just sayin’

yay. Hemant, are you and FBB working on ways to increase contributions? What new ways do you think might work?

We always are. If you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

Prayer? Sorry, I got nothing right now. I think slow, but I will think.
