God will save you, right? Right?! :::crickets:::
“But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He’s all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can’t handle money!” George Carlin.
It’s handy having bars next to churches. I always loved the part in the Simpsons movie where, when the barrier wall came down (?), everyone ran out of the bar into the church and everyone ran out of the church into the bar.
Today I’m grateful for MJ Shepherd.
I’ve only recently discovered his work, but I have yet to see one of his cartoons that wasn’t spot on.
Bars are good near churches, you can use the alcohol to clean the taste of BS off you tongue quicker that way.
Makes zoning simpler, too, as both should be targeted for the seedier parts of town.
Bars and churches are two very similar businesses in competition. Both sell you something that makes you feel good, but has deleterious effects, and in some cases, can devastate your life.
