An Atheist’s Deal for Anyone Who Wants to Preach to Him

The Irish Atheist is proposing a deal for proselytizers:

I’ll offer you a few hours of my time to minister to me if you’re willing to do the same and let me speak about atheism to members of your youth group (as well as anyone else who wants to respectfully sit in).

He says he’s not trying to convert them to atheism; he just wants the youth group members to understand what atheism is all about from someone who isn’t theologically opposed to it. Still, it’s hard to see how anyone would take him up on it. Church leaders often do so much to prevent kids from hearing logical arguments from the “other side” that I can’t see them welcoming one into their world.

But Sunday School would sure as hell get a lot more interesting if they did.
