The Way This Exchange Between Atheist Seller and Christian Buyer on eBay Ended is Ridiculous

One of the readers of this site (“co—”) recently sold her Kindle on eBay, but the buyer (“lu—”) wasn’t happy with the product she received. She claimed it wasn’t working. So the two of them had a quick back-and-forth exchange until the conflict was resolved.

But just wait until you read how it was resolved (click image to enlarge, or read the text below):

Dear co—,

I received my order today, Friday, January 24. The problem is that it will NOT turn on. I was of the understanding although it is a used item it was in good working order. I have it on charger but the charging light doesn’t turn on either. If I can’t get it working then I will need to return it. Please instruct me accordingly. Thank you, Lu—

Dear lu—,

As you can see in the photo the kindle works and turns on. I switched it on before I put it in the mail and confirmed it worked before I sent it to you. It’s possible the charge drained during transit. I suggest you keep it plugged overnight until the charging light turns green. If it is fully depleted it can take several hours to go green.

Dear co—,

I have had kindle on charger for 24 hours and it will not wake up. The picture on the email I just received is NOT the picture. It is of a Tree with boy sitting under it. I will need to return this item if you. Please let me know if you will pay for the return postage and refund my payment of 56.15 (43.80for kindle and 12.35shipping). If I don’t hear from you by Monday, January 27 then I will try and contact the E-Bay customer department. I want this kindle I just can’t get it to charge or wake up.

Dear lu—,

I can tell it works since you are getting a picture on your screen. That picture you are seeing is a screensaver and will change every time you wake it. I think there is something you are not doing right. This worked when I sent it to you.

To wake it you have to slide the power button on the bottom right of the device to the wake it. This is not a touch screen. To reboot you hold the slide button for 20 seconds until it turns off then again to turn it back on. Otherwise contact Amazon for more help. This item was listed as no returns and it certainly worked when I sent it to you. I’m sorry you can’t get it to work.

Dear co—,

Please disregard my last message as the kindle is working. I don’t know except that I prayed over it and it just started working. So I thank God and thank you for it. It is good that [God] still answers prayer and I wanted this as mine had broke.

Yep. That was all God right there. Praise Jesus for resurrecting the broken Kindle!
