A Center for Atheism Opens Up in Turkey: “No Atheists Will Be Alone Anymore”

Good Friday, indeed. Tolga İnci and Ahmet Balyemez have opened the first physical building dedicated to atheism in Turkey:

“No atheists will be alone anymore, either on the streets or in courts,” the association said via its official Twitter account.

It also invited “everyone who wants to meet or be a member” to its office, located in Istanbul’s Kadıköy district.

The center will provide legal support to local atheists who need the help. Read an interview with the founders of Ateizm Derneği and check out their website while you’re at it. The translations are a bit rough, but you get the gist of it.

It’s about time someone gave Adnan Oktar a run for his money…

Stay safe, everyone.
