Todd Starnes is Mad That a Student Said “One Nation Under Allah” During the Pledge… Even Though It Never Happened

I posted earlier today about the New York school where the Pledge of Allegiance was said in Arabic, leading to a lot of backlash from True Americans™.

Now, Todd Starnes, the Fox News commentator who makes up his own “facts” because he knows his audience is too gullible to correct him, has written a column that has little basis in the truth. Just look at this passage:

“One nation under Allah,” the student body president announced over the intercom system on Wednesday.

I spot three mistakes in that sentence alone:

  • That line was never actually said, despite Starnes putting it in quotation marks.
  • The student body president wasn’t even the person who recited the Pledge.
  • The whole controversy is about how the Pledge was in Arabic. So why would they say that line in English?

But this is how Starnes operates. He makes stuff up, knowing his bosses don’t give a shit.

Just wait till Starnes discovers what they’re teaching in math class
