Lone Fisherman Struggles to Pronounce the Savior’s Name, and It’s Strangely Hypnotic

I’ve watched this absurdist video repeatedly, courtesy of Clickhole. It makes me laugh but it’s also oddly affecting and hypnotic. Not sure why this is on a Facebook comedy page rather than in the video collection of a modern-art museum. Regardless — enjoy.

Stay tuned for the Muhammad version (“Mo. Morecomb. Mom. Mulan. MoMA.” Et cetera.)

P.S., Saturday 2:15 EST: I see that the comments are divided about whether this is real, and that some people are concerned that we are making fun of people with disabilities — in this case, someone with aphasia. We wouldn’t. As far as I’ve been able to ascertain, Clickhole, the source of the video, only posts its own productions. The video was shot, we believe, with an actor performing a script. It’s Clickhole’s standard schtick to try to make it seem like its videos are genuine. If anyone has proof that this is a real aphasia patient, especially one who didn’t consent to the video being made and distributed, please let us know, and we’ll either amend or yank this post.
