After this past election, no one should ever take evangelical Christians seriously when they talk about their religion being all about love. By supporting Donald Trump, they’ve made it abundantly clear they don’t care about women’s rights, LGBT rights, poor people, minorities, and everyone else who stands to lose so much because of the carelessness, recklessness, bigotry, and flat-out ignorance coming from this administration.

We can’t rely on evangelicals to be the voices of compassion in this country. It’s up to the rest of us to be the voices of reason — and to make sure everyone knows it.
