COSMOS Is Coming Back for a Second Season

The Emmy Award-winning COSMOS reboot, hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson and brought to you by executive producer Seth MacFarlane (of Family Guy and The Orville), is finally coming back.

Because it’s about damn time someone promoted science in this country again.

The 2014 revival, Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey, was the most-watched series ever on National Geographic Channels internationally, and seen by more than 135 million people worldwide on National Geographic and Fox. The new season will once again premiere in the U.S. on both Fox and National Geographic and globally on National Geographic in 171 countries and 43 languages.

COSMOS: Possible Worlds will premiere in spring of 2019. It’s unclear which topics they’ll discuss, but does it really matter? I

t’s science education on primetime television! (We have McFarland’s star power to thank for that.)
