North Dakota School District Says Girls Who Wear Jeggings Are Just Like Prostitutes

The Devils Lake School District in North Dakota knows exactly how to get students to pay attention in class: The girls just need to stop wearing clothing that’ll distract the boys, even if they’re fully covered up.

According to Valley News Live, that means they “can’t wear leggings, jeggings and tight jeans.”

And just to hammer home that point…

The assistant principal said they had the girls watch two clips from the movie “Pretty Woman” and compared their attire to the main character… who is a prostitute.

I remember that movie. It’s the one where Richard Gere falls in love with Julia Roberts after seeing her in jeggings.

Catholic Sports League Tells Girl She Can’t Play Football, Even After She Nails Two Kicks in Her Debut Game

Cece Lucia, an eighth grader at St. Simon Middle School in Indianapolis, happens to be on the football team — and she’s a really good kicker.

C’mon, Cosmo, You Have to Endorse This Candidate! #CosmoVotes

Earlier this month, editors at Cosmopolitan magazine — a publication known mostly for celebrity coverage and long lists of sex tips — announced that they would be making political endorsements this year based on candidates’ stances on issues such as equal pay, abortion rights, and birth control coverage.

James Woods, the progressive atheist Democrat from Arizona’s 5th District, fulfills the criteria. And something tells me he *really* wants this endorsement…

Are Men More Likely to Be Secular Than Women?

As many of you may be well aware, Sam Harrisrecently quoted comments concerning why most of his fans tend to be male set off some serious criticisms; Greta Christina’s condemnation of Harris was particularly stinging.

The issue of whether or not men tend to be more secular than women is clearly a hot-button issue; people can be easily outraged or offended by related insinuations, declarations, or interpretations when it comes to the proclivities of men and women to be more or less religious or secular. And women within the secular movement (or any movement) have a right to be hyper-vigilant when it comes to sexism, chauvinism, and any other manifestations of patriarchal malfeasance.
