Indiana City, for Some Reason, Keeps Putting Up a Nativity Scene on Courthouse Grounds Every Year

There’s a Nativity Scene in Brookville, Indiana that has been up for over 50 years, despite warning letters (over the course of several years) from the Freedom From Religion Foundation to take it down.

Here are the only details that matter: The display is owned by the Town of Brookville and sits on the grounds of the Franklin County Courthouse.

Atheist Displays in Arlington Heights (Illinois) Have Already Been Vandalized

Last week, the Freedom From Religion Foundation chapter in Chicago put up an atheist display at North School Park in the city of Arlington Heights. It included a five-foot-tall Scarlet A and a banner reading “Are you Good Without God? Millions are” (courtesy of the Chicago Coalition of Reason):

It’s been a week, and I just got word that the display was vandalized: The top of the banner was ripped out of its grommets and the eyehooks that kept the banner attached to its stand were missing.

Alabama Mayor, Forced to Rename “Keep Christ in Christmas” Parade, Wrongly Thinks FFRF’s Plan Backfired

A couple of weeks ago, we learned the city of Piedmont, Alabama was having a Christmas parade with the theme “Let’s Keep Christ in Christmas”:

Once the Freedom From Religion Foundation wrote a letter warning the city of the constitutional problems with that, the city changed the theme to the more innocuous “City of Piedmont Christmas Parade.”

The parade took place Thursday night and it seemed to go over well. But the narratives surrounding it are so far off…
