On the road again

I leave today for two weeks, in which time I will have three speaking engagements, attend a conference, and visit relatives in Oklahoma.  I won’t be in the big woods, though, this time, and I do plan to keep my blog up the best I can, this being a hobby I enjoy, rather than work.  I might not be able to put up quite as many posts per day as I usually do.  And there may be days when I can’t put up anything new, so don’t worry if that happens.  I won’t.

I may have some help in the event of news emergencies (for example, if Mitt Romney announces his vice presidential running mate).   In any event, thank you for following this blog and I hope you keep up the habit!

Have a great two weeks, Dr. Veith. As for “news emergencies,” there aren’t any – outside the world of the 24/7 news channels. So relax and enjoy yourself. :-)

Have a wonderful time, Dr. Veith. There is enough info on your blogs to keep up conversation for a long time to come. At least that is what I’ve found.

And by the way, I’ve been meaning to thank you for your neat piece in World Magazine (annual book issue) on Charles Dickens that came out a week or so ago.

Prayers for safe and happy travels!

    Helen @ 4

I missed that in World Magazine – my husband reads World from cover to cover. I asked my husband, and he said it was “fascinating” – I’ll go on line, and pick it up later today Thanks!

Grace @6…I subscribed to World (hardcopy) last winter on a trial offer. I don’t always get through all the articles, but the book issue was great. Between it and Christianity Today and all the other things, it’s plenty of reading. Glad to hear your husband enjoyed the article. Just a couple of pages.

    Hi Dr. Veith,
Would you make a report on the state of the LCMS Oklahoma District when you get back? A pastor there claims they all disagree there, but at their convention they were all peaceful and it’s just a darn shame everyone can’t be like OK. I challenged him saying that a bad equilibrium was a bad thing, in my most artless Japanese fashion (think G&S Yum Yum).
I don’t think that a group of people who disagree with each other should have a convention where nothing about their disagreements are discussed and nothing resolved.
