Ten days to FREEDOM!

As I mentioned in my introductory post, I’m currently in the process of switching jobs from English teacher –> researcher for the Singularity Institute. That process will be fini in another ten days. Blogging won’t be my top priority, working for the Singularity Institute will be, but I’ll likely have more time to blog then.

Until then… well, I probably won’t be able to stay away from the blog no matter how busy I am, but if posting is light for the next ten days, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Are you going to be moving to the bay area? If you are I’d love to buy you a beer, or whatever you’d like bought for you within reason.

Not necessarily. I’m a remote researcher, which means I can do my work from anywhere in the world.

That said, I would LOVE to move to the Bay Area. Maybe not right away, though, because of cost of living and other reasons. We’ll see.

No, that makes sense. The Bay Area is awesome but one of the most expensive places in the world. It’d be much better to work almost anywhere else from a financial point of view.
