Back in October, my friend Beth, a cat lover of the highest order, told me about a kitty her friend found shivering behind a restaurant here in Rochester, NY. Featured Shelter Pet: Luke, the English Foxhound & Australian Cattle Dog

Luke has received his training as part of the Mutts with Manners program, which pairs prison in mates with shelter dogs.

In honor of National Shelter and Rescue Appreciation Week, here is another adoptable pet (courtesy of DogTime Save A Dog!):Luke is one of five dogs in the Mutts With Manners program, part of the Danville-Boyle Co. Blind dog and her faithful companion are a great pair of Great Danes looking for a great home

If you're on Facebook, chances are you've seen the lovely photo making the rounds of two Great Danes, one blind and the other leading her by a leash.
