The egg is empty! (Easter photo)

I was out in the yard this morning and found a tiny, delicate half of a bird egg resting on the ground. My first instinct was to look up to the tree branches overhead, knowing that up there somewhere is a nest with at least one newly hatched baby being cared for by his mother. The small egg, recently occupied and now emptied. The shell shed and left behind, the new life taking its first breath under the glorious morning sunshine. "World's smallest elephant" photo making the rounds on Facebook not the whole story

I saw this photo on Facebook today of a tiny little elephant baby being held in someone's hands, the caption of which said, "Worlds smallest elephant but he is fighting for his life so pray for him buy liking & sharing this staus . Express your love to him. . ." That's one small elephant. But is it real? Turns out that the photo is real, but it's not the world's smallest elephant.
