Ezra 6: Mission Accomplished

Ezra 6: Mission Accomplished July 31, 2013

14 So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, a descendant of Iddo. They finished building the temple according to the command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes, kings of Persia. 15 The temple was completed on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius. -Ezra 6:14-15

God answered the prayers of the people to once again rebuild the temple. They did, encouraged by Haggai and Zechariah.

The result? The project was completed. No longer would the temple lie in ruins. It would once again serve as the center of Jewish worship.

We often find ourselves wondering if we will ever complete the mission God has given us, the project of the day, or even the task at hand. What God has called us to do, he will empower us to complete.

Do not be discouraged. Trust in the Lord and do the work to which he has called you. He will be faithful. His power is more than enough.
