God wants to be known, and He already knows you and I from eons of time spent in our pre-mortal divine home together, preparing for ‘this’ part of our 3 part journey home. The journey to Him is personal and intimate, uniquely tailored for each of us.
It’s funny. I remember thinking of Einstein, of all people, when I first came to experience and know God for myself–through a tangible infusion of spiritual knowledge described in this cast. I thought of how alone he must have been with each discovery. Likewise, when we discover God, we do in alone at first, but then we share that faith with a community of believers, brothers and sisters. The knowledge is transforming and is continually available to us. God is knocking on the door of your heart every day, hoping you’ll open.
God is real. He lives. As does Jesus Christ, His Son. God isn’t an optional Being. He’s not a dictator nor a figment of imagining. He’s our literal Father. Jesus is His Son; not the Father, morphed or made incarnate, but a separate members of the Godhead, who died for you and I to find our way to eternal joy.
This video cast of I Believe is part 3 of my own journey to faith. I hope you’ll share where you are in yours, what questions you have, what issues you wrestle with, what joys you’ve known as you traveled a path of seeking truth, or finding God. I know He lives. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. I hope you’ll join me now. Hope to hear from you.
Scripture Verse: “O then, is not this real? I say unto you, Yea, because it is light; and whatsoever is light, is good, because it is discernible; therefore ye must know that it is good” (Alma 32:35).
Faith Quote: “The central core of the Christian faith is either absolute truth or it is nonsense. Being absolute, the truths which it proclaims also claim to be eternal. If they were not absolute, if they were not eternal, they would not be worth believing. Scientific knowledge, on the other hand, is relative, relative to what at any given moment happens to have been found out about the natural world. A religion which is in constant process of revision to square with science’s ever-changing picture of the world might well be” (C. E. M. Joad).
