Maybe it didn’t turn out the way you thought it would. But it did happen. And you did experience it. And in that experience is value.
Maybe you didn’t get what you wanted. Perhaps you were disappointed, or even deceived or betrayed. Even so, you learned something valuable. And in some way, it adds to the richness of your life.
Don’t be too quick to judge what happens in your life. Because there is much, much more to the experience than what you can see when you’re right up next to it. Think of things that happened long ago, things that still mean something to you today, and think about how that meaning has grown richer and more profound as the time has passed.
Be thankful for what has happened, treasure the opportunity to have experienced it, and move ahead with a smile on your face and peace in your heart. Resentment will only bring you down, so there’s really no reason to bother with it. The thing that will help you see the best of what’s next, is gratitude.
There are some very good reasons why things worked out like they did. Maybe someday some of those reasons will be apparent to you, and maybe they won’t. In any case, you have grown stronger, more experienced, and more capable. Now, find something great to do with it all.
