You Need To See This: The Time Walmart Banned A T-Shirt That Said A Woman Could Be President July 29, 2016

The glass ceiling finally has a crack in it. I can’t help but wonder if any of those shards of glass will turn into some diamonds when they start falling on our heads? I hope so.

Meanwhile, let’s not pretend that male privilege isn’t still a thing. After all, a woman won the nomination for president of United States, and the newspapers all over put a picture of her husband on the front cover — yet nobody talked about what he wore.

A Congresswoman spoke at the DNC and all the media could write about was how her dress was the same as Melania’s. At least HuffPo reported a little of what she actually said — albeit about 5 or six paragraphs down. You know — after the important stuff about the dress.

And then this little tid-bit shows up — that time Walmart banned a tee shirt that said SOMEDAY A WOMAN WILL BE PRESIDENT because — wait for it — it went against their policy of family values.

At least, that’s what they told the woman who sold them the tee shirts. Their official statement was that it went against their policy of political neutrality. Because, you know, women only represent the Women Party, and we all think exactly the same, because, you know, we only think a few thoughts. So obviously this tee shirt would have swayed the masses to vote for the Women Party because WALMART said so on a tee shirt.

Obviously.
