Bob Robinson: Monday Morning News

Hello! Today is Sunday, Feb. 12. I spoke to Linda [Bob's wife] this evening. Bob is still very critical. His oxygen levels seem to be improving, but there are other things they are measuring that are still higher than they’d like, including his blood pressure. There is a very slim chance, though, that they can wake him tomorrow and remove the ventilator. The ventilator needs to be removed and cannot be in indefinitely. If Bob still needs oxygen at that point and still needs to be under sedation, they will put in a trach tube. He will stay in ICU this whole week and through next weekend. Please pray that Linda is where she needs to be when she needs to be there and that she has discernment in talking to the children and comforting them.
It is getting more difficult for Linda and the kids, as you can imagine. Please pray that Linda has the right words and the right details to give them to help them have peace and to trust the Lord in this.
I will know in a few days whether they need any additional meals this week. Thank you for the provisions you are sending. It is getting more difficult for Linda and the kids, as you can imagine. Linda Robinson just called to ask for our prayers today. Bob’s condition is continuing to improve (especially the absorption of oxygen into his blood, which has been the concern over the past week). He was scheduled for a tracheotomy today, because he has reached the limits of time for having the respirator tube in his throat, and the doctors weren’t sure that he was ready to be awakened from the induced coma. But the doctors are saying now that he’s doing well enough that they may wake him today without doing the tracheotomy. Please be praying!

    Update from Wendy:
Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day! As you are thanking God for the valentines in your life (especially His great love for you), please continue in prayer for Bob. Your faithful prayers and your connection with their family as intercessors is so meaningful right now.
Today is Tuesday, February 14. Linda called earlier today. The latest news is that they are reducing Bob’s medications to try and waken him slowly, while continuing to watch his blood pressure. He is responding to his name and moving a bit, but they are waiting before they take him completely off the sedatives (may be the wrong term, there) until his blood pressure is stabilized. Please pray that the Lord allows Bob to wake up well and to heal. What a memorable day for that to happen! We know that our confidence is in God — Linda is resting in that truth!
