Blog Roll Update

I’m updating my blog roll; adding a few folks I read regularly and recommend that you do too.

The Gods Are Bored. A very personal and very open blog by Anne Johnson, a Druid who lives in New Jersey and writes about her life and her relations with the bored gods. And vultures.

Letter From Hardscrabble Creek. The blog of Chad Clifton: writer, editor, professor, and author of Her Hidden Children: The Rise of Wicca and Paganism in America… which is still on my to-be-read list.

The Archdruid Report. John Michael Greer’s weekly essays on peak oil and what life is likely to be like after it. I don’t always agree with him (I have more – thought not unlimited – faith in innovation), but he’s always thought-provoking.

Pagan Godspell. One of the more theologically-inclined Pagan blogs I’ve come across… probably because Ruby Sara has been to seminary and the education shows. She gave me the idea for the Pagan Tent Revival circle we did at the Spring Equinox.

Enjoy these folks, and if you like them, let them know!

About John Beckett

I’m a Druid in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. I’m an ordained priest in the Universal Gnostic Fellowship. I’m the Coordinating Officer of the Denton, Texas Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans. This year I’m also serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of CUUPS National. I’m a member of the Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

I write as a spiritual practice. It helps me organize my thoughts and work through ideas and concepts. It helps me evaluate my beliefs and practices against my core values and against what I know (or at least, what I think I know) to be true. It helps me interpret my experiences (religious and otherwise) in ways that are both meaningful and honest.
