Results of the Photoshop Gesturing John Contest!

Hello, friends, and others of you who obviously enjoy stretching the meaning of that word. Below are the results of our Photoshop Gesturing John contest. (Click pic tile to see whole picture.) Vote for the picture you like best! (Sorry for the scrolling imposition—but who am I, the Cisco Systems Kid?) A deep thanks to reader (and blog commenter extraordinaire) Mindy Brown Carney, who, when she sensed that I was about to curl up in a fetal position under my desk, volunteered to resize all of the pictures for me. A better friend this humble blog never had. (For Christmas this year why not give one of her beautiful hand-crafted pieces of jewelery?) Winning prizes announced soon. Thanks to all who submitted pictures! Sort of!

John!! Thank you so much for the shout-out, as it were. I am honored to have helped, and grateful for your promotion here – anyone who decides to buy something after reading about here will get a discount – just let me know you’re a Shorian!!

    • Anonymous

Ah, once again knowing me results in actual cash discounts …

      • Karen

Thanks Mindy & John! Mindy, you’re jewelry is beautiful. I can see a shopping trip to your website is in order rather soon. And John, knowing you certainly has its benefits. :-D

Oh well, there’s always my day job.

  • Beth Luwandi

Wow. We have a name now?! We’re Shorians….
    interesting, very interesting.

Hey, John. Thanks again for the Shore family motto piece you wrote a while back; very handy today. :)

And had a great time showing off the pics to everyone who would humor me. Great job everyone!

    • Lee Walker

      “Shorians” — love it! :)

      • Ace

I prefer “Shorebirds” myself but oh well. Maybe people are offended by pelicans?

        • http://heckledtrio.wordpress.com Helly

Oh, I think I can think of a far more offensive term to describe we Shore fans: Shorew****s (both words rhyme ;-) )

          • Anonymous

Ah c’mon. I’m a ShoreWhore and he’s our John? Eeewww. (shivers)

          • http://heckledtrio.wordpress.com Helly

Hahahaha! Oh man, I hadn’t even thought of the “John” aspect. Creepy, yes, but it makes it a helluva lot funnier.

          • Ace

            LOL, yea, gross. *cringes*

I’ll stick with “Shorebirds” I think.

            Ew ew ew ew

  • Textjunkie

oh man, that’s a tough choice. The last 3 would make an awesome animated gif…

  • Don Whitt

Someone besides me voted for mine! But I had to vote for the Martin Luther entry. Topical, funny, cool.

    • Ace

I guess most people don’t like mine. *sadface*

    Voting for Tinkerbell picture!

  • Susan in NY

    I admit, I voted twice.

    • Ace

STUFFING THE BALLOT BOX, ARE WE?

Why didn’t I think of that?

  • participant

John, please note: I would like to disqualify my entry (Gecko John) for the prize as an overly-enthusiastic friend of mine voted a bunch of times. I don’t want to win anything unless it is honestly.

  • Anonymous

It’s so funny; I others, too, have been multi-voting. It’s totally my fault; I didn’t realize I had an option for allowing people to only vote once. SO … I will have to be … dealing with that. And of course there’s only one way a winner can now be chose, and that is by me.

    ME!

    buahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

    • Ace

Your house, your rules huh? So much for democracy. I never had much faith in it anyway. Dictatorship is so much more efficient.

  • Writeright

You have to be able to vote more than once per household…. I wanted Monk John and my son (11) wants Kiss John!

  • Karen

All of the entries are great! So much talent. So much humor. What a great bunch. (And yes, I too voted several times.)
