Summer Is Here: 7 Facts on the Healing Powers of Drinking Water June 29, 2017

Yay!  Summer is finally here… takes a little longer to arrive when we’re talking about Northern Ontario!  But when it comes to summer, I believe that water is magical.  My mother taught me that it’s the source of life.

In fact, I know people that actually speak to their water and whisper beautiful and encouraging sweet nothings to their water filter.  It is a proven fact that water expands, flourishes, and grows with positive and vocal stimulation.  I wanted to share some water facts with you to remember as you hydrate consistently this summer.

    1. Continuously drinking water can actually make you happier.  It is a fact that mild hydration can affect our moods.  Additionally, if you are not drinking enough water, it can affect not only your mood, but also your overall physical and mental health.
    2. With sufficient water intake, we can combat normal and regular fatigue.
    3. Did you know that drinking water actually reduces the physical pain associated with headaches and migraines?  Next time you have a headache, or an unfortunate migraine, do your best to triple your water.
    4. So many of you out there suffer from some type of abnormal digestion or bowel dysfunction.  Drinking plenty of water assists the small and large colons, therefore helping digestion and naturally supports more regular bowel functions.
    5. After a massage, massage therapists recommend you exponentially increase your water intake for the next few hours.  It is proven that water naturally helps the body flush out toxins.
    6. According to recent studies, consuming regular amounts of H20 promotes and fosters healthy skin.  (I’m telling you… water IS magical!)  We could all use to help nourish and nurture our skin.
    7. Here’s a little known tidbit.  It is a fact that the more water you drink on a daily basis, the more it combats bad breath… can you say YAY??

If you are anything like me, I am always going somewhere.  Here’s a couple tips that help me drink more H20.  I do my best to have a beverage with every snack and meal; I do try to eat more fruits and vegetables; and I always keep a bottle of water with me in the car, my office, or in my pocketbook.
