I consider this blog a community and I hope you do as well. So it is with a prayer that I tell you that Eleanor lost her mother yesterday after an unexpected illness:
O merciful Father, who hast taught us in the holy Word that thou dost not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men. Look with pity upon the sorrows of thy servant for whom our prayers are offered. Remember Eleanor and her family, O Lord, in mercy, nourish their souls with patience, comfort them with a sense of thy goodness, lift up thy countenance upon them, and give them peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen (Book of Common Prayers)
Luke (who is one of the links in my blogroll) wrote a post about his granny, a grand southern lady that I had the honor of meeting last year on my book tour through Montgomery. I’m sharing the beautiful video that Luke made of his daughter meeting his granny.
Please feel free to leave your own prayers for Eleanor and family.
