Michigan AG Sues Abortion Doc Who Had “Products of Conception” in His Trunk December 12, 2015

Dr. Michael Roth, the Michigan abortionist who was busted by police last October with drugs and human tissue in his car trunk, is now the subject of a civil lawsuit. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette filed a suit December 11, citing violations of Michigan’s health code. Roth stands to lose his medical license, and has thirty days to respond to these latest charges.

I reported last October in the National Catholic Register about the auto accident which prompted the police investigation, and Roth’s long history of violations of Michigan’s health code:

The case began two weeks earlier, when Dr. Roth’s vehicle struck and critically injured a special needs child near the intersection of 14 Mile Road and Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield. Reports indicated that the doctor had not been drinking; but the car was impounded, pending an investigation of the accident.

Last week, a search warrant was obtained and investigators opened the trunk in search of the “black box” data recorder. There, they discovered 14 unlabeled plastic containers. Each contained human tissue, believed to be fetal tissue and aborted fetuses. Officers also found a cache of medical equipment. In the console of the passenger compartment was a large supply of Fentanyl, a drug used to relieve pain and sedate patients before and during medical procedures such as abortion.

The administrative complaint filed by AG Schuette yesterday charges Dr. Roth with negligence, incompetence, lack of good moral character, possession of a controlled substance. The complaint also claims that the possession of the jars of “products of conception” constitutes a betrayal of professional confidence.

The case moves forward in the same week that Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine has accused Planned Parenthood’s three clinics in his state of breaking state laws. Ohio Revised Code (3701-47-05) requires that aborted fetal remains be disposed humanely; but Planned Parenthood’s clinics have been disposing of the bodies of aborted babies in landfills. Lifenews.com reports

DeWine announced the findings of his investigation into Planned Parenthood’s abortion practice in Ohio — an investigation which began in July. The probe reveals Planned Parenthood appears to be sending the bodies of aborted babies to landfills.

“All three Ohio Planned Parenthood affiliates have sent fetal remains to companies which disposed of the fetuses in landfill,” the investigative report indicates. “Additionally, the Planned Parenthood facility in Bedford Heights stated it uses only one company for disposal. However, that company stated to investigators it does not accept fetal remains for disposal as a corporate policy.”
