Did Jesus Have to Be God to Save Us?

On September 4, 2013, I posted "Jesus Had To Be Made Like His Brothers To Die For The Sins Of All Us Others." (See below.) But I keep getting comments to the contrary, so I will now blog about this again. Christians who believe Jesus is God sometimes assert, "Jesus had to be God to save us."
