LOS ANGELES – With less than one month until production, Catholic vocations organization Imagine Sisters is proud to announce a ﬁlm about the beauty of religious life: Light of Love. The ﬁlm will be centered around ﬁve interviews with sisters from around the United States and will include a ﬁrst-hand look into the prayer, service, and love of religious sisters. Beginning in Los Angeles, CA, the team will travel to the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, then to Steubenville, Ohio with the Franciscan Sisters of Penance of the Sorrowful Mother, then to the Franciscan Sisters of the Martyr St. George in Alton, IL, then to Washington, DC to ﬁlm the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara, and concluding in New Jersey with the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco.
The ﬁlm will be presented by Lighthouse Catholic Media and produced by Los Angeles based media companies Lumen Vere and Altius Studios. Incorporating the powerful techniques of documentary ﬁlmmaking, Light of Love aims to both challenge hearts and inspire vocations to religious life. The ﬁlm is set to be released on September 8th, the anniversary of St. Therese of Lisieux’s profession of ﬁnal vows. The ﬁlm will be available to view and download free of charge from the Imagine Sisters and Lighthouse websites and social networks.
Funded primarily by generous individual supporters, Light of Love seeks to raise the remaining $8,000 required for ﬁnishing and promoting the ﬁlm by creating DVD copies to be sent to schools, parishes, and Newman Centers across the United States. Taxdeductible donations can be made through the Light of Love website.
