Stepping out of the societal / commercial clobbering filled with GMO pralines, sprayed flowers, cheap underwear, and environment-polluting cards can be… liberating. And it can also feed the inner cynic who disparages love as an illusion of the mind and foolishness of the heart. How to untangle the fangs of fear from the body of truth?

Anchor into your holiness. Commune with the silence inside you. Make divine love. Here are five fierce practices for the most divine Valentine every day of the year.

1) Honor your Inner Stirrings

Honor what moves you. If you feel the need to bless your food, do it; ignore the potentially weird looks of others (chances are they won’t notice anyway because they’re staring at their phones). If you’re guided to gently bow before tools that allow you to live comfortably (stove, fridge, door, bed, window…), then do it. If you feel compelled to celebrate the elements, surrender to your ceremonies. The new is now, as Rochelle Schieck of Qoya recently put it, and it’s time we acknowledge our inner stirrings.

2) Bathe in Nature

Become one with nature again. Let the earth caress your bare feet; let the wind tousle your mane; let the sun kiss your skin; let the ocean cleanse your soul; let animals remind you what unconditional love feels like. We’re our strongest and kindest when aligned with nature.

3) Use Your Power Wisely

We’re powerful beings and it’s up to us whether we use our power to hurt ourselves and others, or to uplift both. Choose kindness over arrogance. Choose courage over fear. Choose to live your wisest life every day — why else bother? And for the record, we all fall short some days but the key is to get back up and into our highest selves.

4) Anchor into Your Holiness

Find your true anchors. The ones you can trust to ground you deeply into Mother Earth so you can soar brightly. Luminous One, identify your roots. Mine are meditation, prayer, movement, reading, and nature. Find your holy practice and… practice.

5) Make Divine Love

It’s time more of us come out of the spiritual closest and actively honor our divine presence. Connect with divine love, sweet source energy, to raise the planet’s vibration. Let this energy surge through your system to recalibrate your wellbeing. Let it become first nature again. Let your kundalini rise so you feel awesome and do what you’re best at to help us all. Make divine love to yourself by becoming a sacred source and force for good.
