Your Sacred Self

Your Sacred Self May 24, 2016

There’s amply opportunity these days to get caught up in our everyday self. It’s the self that has automated our actions so as to streamline our to-dos. That’s well and good and practical until you realize that your everyday self drowns out your sacred self.

When was the last time you paused to reflect on whether what you’re doing is in alignment with your values, with your joy? Do you know what your innate talents are, and are you taking the time to develop them?

Your technical skills could productively disrupt how we move from A to B. Your artistic genius could revolutionize the way we connect with each other. Your culinary sensibilities could positively change what we choose to eat. The way you teach history could make kids fall in love with learning from the patterns of the past and craft a brighter future.

You don’t know what you don’t know. Take the time to connect with your sacred self. Go out in nature regularly. Somewhere quiet and calm. Realign your spirit with your spine. That’s where your sacred self resides. Tap it. Love it. Honor it.
