Painted Buntings at Laity Lodge

I thought I’d share a couple of photos I took recently at Laity Lodge. The first is a male Painted Bunting. The second shows the male with his “wife.” These are beautiful birds.

    Beautiful birds, nice shots, Mark.

I like the sunset photo you had up the other day that your son took, too.

    Thanks, Tom.

What lovely birds. Some have called them the Nonpareil, because the male’s plumage is unmatched in North America.
