The Pennsylvania government is attacking the horrible baby “swaddling epidemic” October 20, 2016

“I didn’t start out as a radical,”said Abby Schachter, author of the new book No Child Left Alone: Getting the Government Out of Parenting. “I just wanted my child swaddled at daycare.”

As the mother of four children, she knew how to make sure her kids slept.  But her baby’s caregivers at daycare refused — apparently, in Pennsylvania, there’s actually a regulation against swaddling.

Yep.  The Pennsylvania government is attacking the horrible “swaddling epidemic” — you know the practice that has been around for thousands of years.  (You might remember that Jesus was swaddled.)

Anyway, this is a must-see video for fans of self-governance, as Schachter explains.

“Every rule that gets written has a cost. I don’t know if parents [understand] that under the headline ‘we’re going to keep your children safe’ [or] ‘we’re going to protect the kids’ that that is really code for ‘we’re taking your rights away.'”
