BREAKING NEWS: Man sets himself on fire to protest Trump’s disrespect of the Constitution January 18, 2017

Screen Shot 2017-01-18 at 2.51.26 PMSome people make life more difficult than it has to be:

The Daily Mail reports:

The 45-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, said the act was in protest of the President-elect’s looming inauguration.

Witnesses described how he yelled ‘Trump’ several times as ‘flames ran up his back’ before lying down in the street.

He suffered non-life-threatening burns and was taken to hospital shortly after the incident at around 9.30pm.

Of course, whether or not Donald Trump will respect the Constitution remains to be seen. After all, the man hasn’t even taken office yet.  However, for citizens who are worried about such topics, there’s an easier way to protect the Constitution of the United States, and it doesn’t even require a match.

The non-flammable path can be found within Article V of the United States Constitution.

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.
