I’m getting really tired of doing the main stream media’s job.  Have any of you heard about the death threat made against Republican Senator Dean Heller?  Apparently, a man was upset at the prospect that the GOP might repeal Obamacare.  (He has more confidence in the GOP’s ability to pull this off than I do at this point.)  So instead of writing a strongly worded email, he went into the office complex where the Senator has an office and taped a note to his door.

According to the Nevada Independent, the man said he’d “lose his health care if the key senator voted for the repeal bill and that he would die if that happened and would take Heller with him.”

Score another victory for the peace and tolerance crowd.  Does anyone anywhere still believe the Democrats are against violence?  It was only a month ago that a Bernie Sanders supporter went to a baseball field and started shooting.  He told people he was trying to kill as many Republicans as possible.  When that happened the media called for civility from “both sides.”

What about holding the side that tried to kill the other side accountable?  What about the media deigning to report on violent threats against Republicans?  Wouldn’t that be the “civil” thing to do?

Ed Morrissey at HotAir noted the omission of this from any mainstream news outlets.

It didn’t seem to make a lot of impact on the national media … CNN’s Chris Cillizza reported on a barely veiled political threat to Heller from Donald Trump over his ObamaCare repeal position (which was certainly both newsworthy and amusing), but CNN still hasn’t reported on an actual threat to Heller.  Would such a threat against a senator who planned to vote to preserve ObamaCare have been similarly ignored? Or would it have gotten national coverage?

The media has spoken by not speaking out against this.  We get the message, loud and clear.
