More on Sins against the truth in Broad Daylight

This has already been covered in some of the newspaper articles, but an article in today’s Washington Post reminded me and I thought you might be interested in seeing the link. It’s about a report (thorough and knowledgeable) that was sent to the Bishops in 1985 that warned them of a “catastrophic” problem in the offing — but they…tabled the report…referred it to committee…whatever.

And, Fr. Maniscalco is quoted on your site as saying, “Why should anyone’s feet be held to the fire…the decisions were made on the best advice available.”

To which two responses come to mind: 1) “Spoken like a true time-server, Father.” 2) “Not true, Father. There was much better advice available and it was ignored.”
