More Sungenis Weirdness
Bill Cork runs a letter from Bob Sungenis in which Bob helpfully explains that it is Cork’s Jewish “roots” that makes him a Zionist and therefore naturally pits him against Bob’s perfectly legitimate claims that Judaism approves of infant rape. I’m gonna have to retract my initial opinion that Bob is not talking like an anti-semite, especially since, if memory serves, Cork actually opposes war with Iraq, which is not exactly the gungho, pro-Zionist position. This whole “your blood makes you do/think this” is quack anti-semitism, not quack anti-Judaism.
Bob continues his letter, sounding more and more like Captain Queeg in the Caine Mutiny, and apparently under the amazing delusion that his appeals to geocentricism will clinch the argument with any thinking person.
Then, he lights out after John Betts in a way that does not at all remind me of Christ, but does make me think of Richard Nixon. “Coming back with a vengeance…. coming after you.” Very Christlike. I have the sneaking suspicion that it’s just a matter of time before I am similarly “exposed” like Betts. It will be an honor.
Yes, I think it’s time for people to stop thinking of CAI as representing anything but, well, Robert Sungenis and his acolytes. If you are still one of those people who thinks Bob is a reliable source of Catholic teaching, I suggest you take your happy pill and go lie down.
