Sungenis Circles the Wagons
CAI is no longer about the defense of the Catholic faith and is instead about the defense of CAI and its loony ideas. Most recent developments: another “staff member” has ditched them in protest, and Petersnet has dropped their greenlight rating and changed the site description to this:
CAI is self-described as “a Catholic lay apostolate dedicated to the teachings of Jesus Christ preserved by the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.” Until recently this was an accurate description and the site had received Petersnet highest rating. While there is still much that is good on the site the error that has crept in is more insidious because it is cloaked in the guise of Catholic orthodoxy. This is the proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Most pathetic of all: CAI is now attempting to forbid all quotation of anything on their site. I (for obvious reasons) can’t give you the text which says this, but you can read it for yourself at the bottom of this page.
Now that’s what I call fearlessly holding your legitimate opinions up to the harsh light of criticism.
Uh, Bob. Ever hear of “fair use”? It’s called “copyright law.” And does this prohibition affect your reprint of an entire article from the Jerusalem Post in order to make use of a rumor to substantiate your loony idea that the Vatican is the sinister agent of Zionist oppressors, or your massive cut and pasting of Jew-bashing literature (including Nazi pamphlets) without attribution?
