“Simply stated there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction; there is no doubt that he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies, and against us.” – VP Dick Cheney
Josh Claybourn keep hammering away at the fact that this, the basis of the last war, appears to not be panning out. He’s also noting the way in which some pro-war types are upping the amperage in their sneers at those who are asking, “Well, where are they?” Like me, Claybourn favored the war because we believe the reports of WMDs everwhere. Like me, he’s rather dismayed to see people like Glenn Reynolds try to sneer into silence those who are wondering where the WMDs are, even stooping so low as suggest that anybody who asks that entirely reasonable question is some sort of embittered antiwar loser. I expect these sorts of “Shut up! You’re not wanted here!” tactics from the gay fascist brownshirts or pro-choice zealots, not from conservatives.
