Prayer Request

A reader writes:

An infant cousin of mine died in a freak accident while under his father’s supervision — mom was at work.  The baby was their only child.  Aside from God taking the baby’s soul to heaven (the baby was baptized), I’d pray that mom and dad would grieve properly, and forgive each other, turn to each other, and, while there’s never ever any replacing a baby, that their marriage remaining strong they might once again one day know the joy of children.  I’m just heartbroken…

Father, hear our prayer for this little one and, most especially, for his parents. Grant eternal rest to the baby and grace, mercy and peace to these people who are suffering so much. We ask this through Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, pray for all involved.
